Subsea Gate Valves

Manually Actuated Half Turn Subsea Gate Valves

Oliver Valvetek offers a comprehensive range of engineered-to-precision Subsea manually actuated gate valves. Available in four different bore sizes – 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1 inch, they are suitable for up to 10,000 ft of water depths and a cold working pressure rating up to 15,000 PSI.

Dependant on the size of nominal bore, our half turn manual gate valves have a qualified working temperature of Classifications P-X (-20°F/-29°C to
+311°F/155°C). See Specific data sheets for each of the qualified temperature ranges.

The half turn manual gate is very versatile design giving flexibility of connection orientations and Unique bonnet design which allows 4 alternative stem positions to align with either an ROV panel or extension rods if positioned on the subsea Christmas tree. Due to its innovative design, If stop pin shears due to over-torque, the valve internals will not be damaged and the valve can still be opened and closed.

Our Manually Actuated Subsea Gate Valves provide the end-user with low flow restrictions and metal-to-metal seat sealing isolation. We also utilise Tungsten Carbide (HVOF) hard facing technology which ensures that the sealing is gas-tight (meeting with API6A PSL3G).

We also offer a range of hydraulically actuated gate valves, multi turn manual gate valves and rotary gate valves to compliment this gate valver design.

Product Information

  • Designed for Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV) operation, our Manually Actuated Subsea Gate Valves have been used extensively by our customers worldwide for projects both small and large in size. Commonly found on Oil, Gas and Petrochemical projects, we offer both Half-Turn and Multi-Turn gate valves within this valve portfolio, giving a great selection of operating design choice and offering a genuinely uninterrupted process flow through the valve and low operating torques.
We test and qualify each ROV gate valve to different pressure ratings and water depths. With a maximum pressure rating of 15,000 PSI (1,034 bar) and a maximum water depth of up to 10,000ft (3,050m), our Manually Actuated Subsea Gate Valves are some of the best performing in the industry.
We also perform qualification testing to the exacting standards of API 6A Appendix F PR2 and 17D 2nd Ed and supported by Third Party Independent review and endorsement.
    Product Features

Multi positional stem to body positioning.
The half turn manual gate is very versatile design giving flexibility of connection orientations and unique bonnet design which allows 4 alternative stem positions to align with either an ROV panel or extension rods if positioned on the subsea Christmas tree.

    Position Indication
The Oliver Valvetek manual gate valve operated through a half (180degrees) turn. This provides a simple visual indication to the ROV operator of the valve position.

    Over-Torque Protection
The unique half-turn operation means that if the valve is over-torqued to a point where the end stops fail, the valve will simply continue to open and close. The valve can then be positioned in the open or closed position without any damage to the valve internals.

    Low Operating Torque
The half-turn feature combined with needle thrust bearings provides a low operating torque at full differential pressures.

    Panel Mountable and Block Mountable
The valve can be provided with a wide range of operators and receptacles to fit the designer ROV panel.

Uninterrupted flow passage through the valve
While positioned on fully open, our manual subsea gate valves provide clear through bore with minimum restrictions on flow.

Manually Actuated Multi-Turn Subsea Gate Valves

Oliver Valvetek offers a comprehensive range of engineered-to-precision Subsea manually actuated multi turn gate valves. Available in two different bore sizes – 3/4″ and 1 inch, they are suitable for up to 10,000 ft [3,050m] of water depths and a cold working pressure rating up to 15,000 PSI.
Our multi turn manual gate valves have a qualified working temperature of Classifications P-X (-20°F/-29°C to +302°F/150°C).

Our multi turn manual gate valves offer a good alternative to the half Turn Manual gate Valve. The Multi turn design has a positive back stop and an integral safety feature of having an external failure point external of the pressure envelope if the drive train is compromised.

All Our manually actuated subsea gate valves provide the end-user with low flow restrictions and metal-to-metal seat sealing isolation. We also utilise Tungsten Carbide (HVOF) hard facing technology which ensures that the sealing is gas-tight (meeting with API6A PSL3G). This offers long term reliability for applications such as mixed well bore produced fluids and chemical injection on subsea Christmas trees and Manifold Structures. Valves are typically supplied in Corrosion Resistant Alloys such as Inconel 625 and 25Cr Super Duplex stainless steel.

We also perform qualification testing to the exacting standards of API 6A Appendix F PR2 and 17D 2nd Ed and supported by Third Party Independent review and endorsement.
