Colm Kane, a Post Graduate in Industrial & Operations Management joined the Oliver family of companies in 2004, leaving behind his previous role as a Sourcing Manager at an international rail transport company. Initially recruited as the Supply Manager for Oliver Valves, it soon became clear that Colm’s responsibilities should be expanded on as a reflection of his expertise and experience.
Working across all 3 companies, Colm came to establish operational activities in India the same year he joined. This included sourcing an assembly/test plant and since then, Oliver’s operations in India have become an integral part of the companies’ success. 2 years later in 2006, Colm was appointed General Manager across all three companies.
As the Project Manager for the refurbishment of the Oliver buildings, he also established the new set up for Oliver Twinsafe and Oliver Valves operations, which were opened in October 2006 and March 2008 respectively.
Colm’s responsibilities extended further in July 2009, when he became the Operations Director. Today, he provides invaluable strategic direction and Performance Management across all of our Company Operations and was recently appointed Managing Director in January 2019.
