Phil Davies Takes Semi-Retirement After 17 Years at Oliver Valves

Phil Davies, our trusted Double Block & Bleed Valve Supervisor, takes semi-retirement after working at Oliver Valves for 17 years and 4 months (precisely). Phil is highly regarded and respected throughout the business and good friends with his co-workers.

Phil has many fond memories of his time working here, playing an integral part in the company’s success over the years and recent high growth. He said “Over the years, I’ve worked overseas and represented Oliver Valves many times, the trust and support given to me by the company is what I’ll always be grateful for, the people I have worked with past and present are the reason why my time here has been so enjoyable.”

Since joining us having worked in the pharmaceutical industry and as a mechanic, he utilised his skills and progressed along the factory floor to become supervisor, overseeing the manufacturing of our DBB division and taking on a wide range of important roles and responsibilities. Works Manager Jim Dalzell praises Phil saying “you need great people in your team that you can rely on and to be supportive, Phil has these attributes in abundance and its always been appreciated, we wish him all the very best”.

Determined to make the most of his retirement, he already plans to spend more time with his wife Diane, grandchildren, and family to travel Britain’s Waterways on his beloved Boat Home.
